Belief & Doubt

Trust. Him.

There have been times in my life where I felt assured, as though every step was mapped out and secure. There have also been times I felt as though I was on a tightrope, and anyone who knows me at ALL knows I really don’t like heights. (Unless it’s a rollercoaster or jet).

So where are you today? Do you have challenges and obstacles that seem immovable? One more question – do you find it easier to pray for others and believe for them, rather than yourself?

Then here is something to consider…I encourage you to grab this one and hang onto it, because it comes from a very reputable source.

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly if I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Mark 11:22-24 NIV (Emphasis mine)

What are the “mountains” in your life? We all have them. Believe me, I’m not writing this because I just threw Everest into the Mediterranean…I’m writing this because our world needs a few mountains “made plain”, or leveled out. I want to be part of the positive change, don’t you?

Can you imagine if honestly was everywhere? If human trafficking was a distant memory? If hatred, quite simply, did not exist? If God was revered, respected and obeyed? Yeah. All of that.

It’s time for us to pray with the understanding of what Jesus is saying here. If we can believe for others, we can also believe He cares about us, and we can trust Him with our mountains. We are not believing in an OUTCOME, we are believing in the One Who Created Everything.

Let’s agree to take our cares to Him. I ask that His love will wipe out any doubt and replace it with hope and confidence that our prayers will be answered, regardless of if they are for others or ourselves.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

Psalm 46:1 KVJ

Love,

Rose
