So Grateful

Our country is a little anxious just now. There are factions, divisions, suspicion, grief…

Do you know there is a common thread to all of this? There is a master manipulator who is not a person. Call him what you like, Lucifer, Nimrod, Satan, the King of Tyre – it matters not. His modus operandi have very specific hallmarks. I do not want to spend time on the negative. This post is all about the OPPOSITE.

God is Good. Let’s turn our eyes to Him. Let’s make a joyful noise of thanksgiving. Not just turkey and overeating, rather a heartfelt, sincere, and DNA-deep gratitude.

Think about this for a moment. Here is the WHAT.

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4: 4-7 ESV

Now, here is the WHY.

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” John 3:17 ESV

Lastly, and perhaps most important, here is the WHO.

“Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” Isa 43:13 NIV

Three verses among many. One God who is worthy of our praise, trust and adoration. He is Sovereign. Nothing is more powerful than He.

Today, you may be in quarantine. You aren’t alone. Ever.

Love,

Rose
