The Mirror Holds

There are moments in life when the soul may shatter like glass—fractured by pain, yet somehow still hold together. I’m not a doctor, so my words aren’t clinical; they’re simply the observations of someone who has walked a road of resiliency and healing.

Fragments

This isn’t about judgment. It’s about honoring those who, though wounded, manage to pull themselves out of such environments and begin rebuilding. That journey is remarkable—filled with hope, setbacks, and occasionally—triggers.

For me, experiencing repeated patterns of dishonesty, manipulation, and belittling brought me to the brink. Over time, such things wear a person down. I share this not to spotlight myself, but to encourage others who may be traveling toward or in their own “healing road.”

Recognition

When someone you love starts whittling you down, it’s easy to believe you’ve caused it. But often, that’s not the case at all.

Many of us who long for harmony and stability end up absorbing, adjusting, and trying to fix. The ironic twist is that those who thrive on drama and unrest often exploit that kindness.

Escape Hatch

And yet—there is hope. There is always an escape hatch. It may take time, courage, and persistence, but you can climb out of the quicksand. You can stand on solid ground. You can!

The first step is realizing you are not the problem. You can be the solution for you.

Solid Ground

Truth is steady. It doesn’t shift like weather. You may have been fed a litany of things that are simply untrue. Time to find the steady – the consistent – the real.

For me, God has been that foundation. For you, it may look different but find something solid where you can plant your feet. Then begin the steady work of building with truth.

New Voices

It isn’t easy. Healing takes diligence, persistence, and tools that unknot old thought patterns.

Books like Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now or Michael Singer’s The Untethered Soul may help anchor you in the present instead of the echo of the past.

Begin

Healing isn’t instant. The journey is a commitment….so, ask yourself – are you worth it? Oh, yes you are.

My friend has cited a verse that sings. “Joy comes in the morning.” If you are feeling dark—find someone who will listen. Someone who cares and holds up a mirror of truth.

Love,
Rose

Just checking in. Call anytime by the way.
Wondering how you are, what world you have conquored lately, if you’re still single, if you finished the farm…
    It’s been too long.
Thanksgiving and Christmas, a time to be grateful for the family – Dad would have called you. I would have said hellp. Maybe you would have come to visit. But we’ve long since lost touch. Not forever. This place is still here. So This is my visit, nicking in, saying “hi” and sending a hug to you.
All the best for a Happy Thanksgiving and a Christ filled Joyous Christmas.
