    All Set!

It’s hard to believe, but we are already well into January. It feels like January out! I am kicking off 2016 with four things that are exciting. Chris Tiegren’s devotional – “Hearing His Voice” – wow! So far, it’s excellent. I started another “read through the Bible” in a year on YouVersion. What a great resource! On Facebook, I saw a post about a “blessing jar” – I’ve started one. It will be a great reminder. My One Word for this year is “ALL”. Check them out! Lastly, I have contacted an agency to begin the process to market my books! I am hopeful that this process will be smooth…

    Getting Ready for ’16

This year – or rather 2016, I’ve decided I’m going to remind myself and document the blessings in my life. So many times the days slip by and the sweetness in life can get blurred. I want to remember it and from Whom it comes. So…I saw something on Facebook, and I’m appropriating it. I have a lovely vase that is going to become my Blessing Jar. Every time something wonderful that may seem “random” comes along, I’m going to write it down and date it and put it in the jar. Next Christmas I’m going to take them out and see what God has done in my life in…

    Approaching Christmas

One of my favorite Christmas movies is “The Bishop’s Wife” with Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven. I’m a sucker for old black and white movies where there was actual dialogue. The movie brings to mind some very timely questions – what are we seeking? What are we expecting? What are our motives? Do we rush around and try to do “big things” for God, and yet leave him out of the process? I hope not. Today, as I write this, I think of how the Magi traveled so far for so long to pay homage. They offered Jesus gifts and worshiped him, because they recognized he was the…

    Anticipation

Today is an exciting day! I will be speaking with Athena Dean Holtz of Redemption Press regarding the projects. I keep looking at the clock, but the wait is actually fun. Anticipation is a good thing. According to Dictionary.com, the 2nd and 3rd definitions for anticipation are: “2. realization in advance…3. expectation or hope…” Now you tell me – doesn’t that sound like a good place to be on a Wednesday morning?

    Next Project

I’m pleased to report that my new project is underway! It’s in the very early stages still, but it is progressing. I love this time of development because it involves a lot of research. Learning is such a fun adventure! Right now I’m living in Damascus in the first century! More to come…

    Christian Writer’s Conference – A Beginning

On Saturday, September 12, 2015 I was privileged to attend the Christian Writer’s Conference, hosted by Roaring Lambs. The information and speakers were very inspiring. In particular, I appreciated the session and time I shared with Athena Dean Holtz of Redemption Press. She very energetic, and provided a tremendous amount of information. As a result of the teaching and sessions, I’ve decided to create this blog. The intent will not be limited to “writing”, but I have a vision for it to cover several art forms, including recipes! Those of you who know me won’t be surprised by this. Stay tuned. This is just the opening salvo! Rose
