    Next

The sunlight slants, Its rays different now than in summer’s heat, Angling through the windowpane – A merciful change. The sky, still vibrant, yet subdued, Beckons on this October morn. Changes are in the wind Which tangles through my hair. The heartbeat within is strong and steady, And full of shivering expectation. Laughter. Joy. Hope. Happiness Roll into my consciousness. Patterns uncharted and unknown Are in actuality a gift. For life, in its very essence Is a mystery to be explored. As I continue to awaken, I am full of gratitude for not knowing… Merely embracing the moment. Next will take care of itself. – RG

    Abiding Time

Beauty in the simple things – Flowers, sky and grass. Hopeful in the daily things, Your guidance all I ask. I turn my heart to you each day And ask to be Your light. Walking in the paths You’ve tread, From morning into night. And now the whispers in the wind Remind my soul of You. I feel Your hand upon my heart, Oh Lord, please keep it true. For just beyond horizon’s reach The plans of Yours unfold, Always with the best intent, Our dreams You weave and hold. So, in the stillness of this morn To You I turn my face – Abiding love and hope and truth,…

    Dreamer

In sleep they come on silent feet, Having been set free. The hopes and dreams are now unleashed – This hidden part of me. Their mission to awaken parts That sleep while it is light. Longings and what’s under wraps Come out to dance at night. Their vestiges remain with me Still near enough to feel. Visions, colors, touch and songs, A place sublimely real. This waking world is only part Of what creates the whole. Unencumbered pathways meet Welcoming the soul. And in this morning’s quiet hush It’s easy to receive. For I have touched the hem of God His gift for me – believe. – RG

    Sure Foundation

Hope for the hopeless, Love for the lonely, Healing for heart-wounds, Jesus, our only. Son of the Most High, Arms reaching wide, Life for believers, You call us Your Bride. Looking and seeing Your wings stretched above, An arc of protection o’er those whom You love. Our strong, sure Foundation provided The Way, We rest on Your promise, oh Ancient of Days. Glory revealed, As feet trod the earth, Cloaked as a man, You gave us new birth. Lost are redeemed, Your Kingdom connected Through Jesus, our Christ We are resurrected! – RG

    In the Trees

I hear Your voice in the whispers of the oaks, See Your majesty in cloud-studded skies, Feel Your sorrow in the rain, And know You bring us life. I bow in wonder at the stars, Who sing in stellar rhapsodies. I smell the cedar perfumed air And feel You right beside me. Oh, glory to Your holy name! All praise be to our King. Hope and truth and love abound, And soar on eagle’s wings. Each sense is wrapped within your hands, Your blood runs in our veins It is our privilege to be Yours, Called by Your glorious name. Your Kingdom visible to those Who choose to seek Your…

    Listening to You

In the quiet, in the hush, We lift our hands toward you. Reaching, longing, listening hard For Him whose voice is True. The anxious thoughts, the hurried pace Are swept away with peace. Our Savior and our dearest Lord, Allow us at His feet. It’s here we place our treasured hopes, And dreams within His hands. Knowing He was pierced for us, And all our days are planned. Oh Jesus, how You call to those Who listen as we pause, Your love, it beckons us to You In spite of all our flaws. With tears and gratitude we give You all our thanks and praise. For Your life now is…
